It's extraordinary how life works out sometimes. We wanted to see a lot of the world and in the early 2000s we moved to New Zealand. The continent of new opportunities, high prosperity and - above all - of a relaxed, laid-back lifestyle. New Zealanders live outdoors all year round and the sun can burn pretty badly there.

Not surprisingly, the best sun protection concepts come from New Zealand. We were particularly taken by the opening roofs. Beautiful, open constructions that provided shade and sun whenever we wanted and at the same time let in light in a unique way. If it rained, we closed the louvers and were sheltered. What a wonderful way to live outdoors as much as possible.

A childhood friend spent his holiday with us and was just as enthusiastic as we were. Together we decided to bring this beautiful concept to the Netherlands. In 2006 we launched Livium, introducing the openingroof to the Netherlands and Belgium. It turned out to be the start of a new adventure.

The adventure started with importing complete systems from our supplier Louvretec in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Livium manufactures the systems itself. This allows for even faster delivery and a better response to customer needs. The Louvretec design is still integrated in the beautiful end result. They supply the original components, allowing us to guarantee the best quality.

We design, develop and manufacture all our Livium louvre systems in-house. To guarantee quality, we deliver and assemble our products exclusively ourselves, without the intervention of dealers. Private individuals, construction companies, contractors, gardeners and veranda builders can always contact us.

We sell our Livium louvre systems mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium, but we are also regularly abroad for international projects in the rest of Europe or the Antilles. This is possible because we have everything in-house, from sales and work preparation to transport and assembly.

Because all Livium louvre systems are custom-made, it is also important to view the situation at your premises. We produce and assemble all our systems here in the Netherlands. That makes us unique!
Advice, sales, work preparation, production and assembly are carried out from our modern business premises in Hengelo.

We control the entire process ourselves so we can deliver quickly; flexibility is our great strength. Keep in mind, however, that delivery times can increase during busy periods. Quality comes first and customisation requires attention and craftsmanship.

We have our own fitters who install our Livium louvre systems in the Netherlands, Belgium and abroad. Our fitters are fully specialised to ensure expert assembly.

No, we don't. We leave construction and contractor work to the specialists. We work intensively with contractors, carpentry companies and steel construction companies throughout the Netherlands. Do you have your own company in mind for your construction work? Then of course we work together with them.

We are not a contractor company or veranda builder. Moreover, in new construction and renovation projects, there is already a general contractor carrying out the construction work. We deliver and install our Livium louvre systems as a subcontractor and do the work preparation in cooperation with the main contractor, client and architect.
